Waynet Board Meeting
April 27, 1998
Approved 5/27/98
Present: John Weber, David Fulton, Sue Morris, Tom Kirk, Jane Holman, Debbie Berry, Pam
Frantz, Shane Delon, and Cam Hart (sitting in for Tim Broering).
Minutes approved for the last two meetings:
Tom Kirk made motion to approve minutes of last two meetings
John Weber seconded motion
Motion passed
Financial Report:
Reviewed the quarterly report. Jane will double-check the amount of supplies. Approval
will be held until next month.
Jane will make a written projection on the next quarterly financial report.
Mays financial report was approved:

Camera Loan Policy was approved:
John Weber made motion to approve camera loan policy
Pam Frantz seconded motion
Businesses outside of Wayne County will be accepted.

Arboretum Swim Club
Sue Morris made motion to wave application fees for the above organizations

Executive Directors Report:
Three new members: First Bank of Richmond
TCI of Indiana
Wayne Teachers Federal Credit Union
(Making a total of 21 sponsors.)
Ran a Sunday advertisement in the Palladium-Item for Waynet and the Webmasters
Forum.
Hayes Arboretum featured Waynet in their brochure.
Has talked to Dave Stickler at Kicks 96, and will also contact Magic 101 about getting
links.
Reminder that all attendees should become members. (Use the on-line application form.)
Reported that there have been 500-600 hits per week to the Waynet site.
Spoke at the Rotary Club about Waynet.
Feature picture on the home page is changed every Monday, and she is open for
suggestions.
Waynet is now an official Chamber member for $85.00 a year.
Making sales calls to several businesses and will continue to do so.
Brainstorming and Marketing Ideas:
Dave asked the group what they could do to help Jane obtain more sponsoring members.
There was a suggestion to hold an "After Hours" at RP&L, Morrison Reeves
Library, or IU East.
Dave asked if it would be appropriate to make presentations to organizations who
already have web sites to help boost sponsorship.
Debbie suggested talking to the mayor to ask him to promote Waynet through his
contacts.
Other ideas mentioned where: Home Show, Expo, city buses, Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, and
Main Street Richmond.
Nominating Committee:
A nominating committee was formed to fill two positions and think about the structure
of the board:
