August 26, 2012: Wayne County Cardinal Greenway

Redbuds along the Cardinal Greenway2012 marked the long-awaited completion of the Cardinal Greenway from Richmond to Marion. The Cardinal Greenway is a former rail right-of-way that has been paved and converted to public recreational use. Enjoy a walk or a ride along this beatutiful trail.

July 19, 2012: Townsend Food Project

Logo: Townsend Food ProjectThe Townsend Food Project is a grant funded initiative to cultivate pride in fresh, local food in North Richmond, Indiana. They host a Farmer's Market at the Townsend Community Center, cooking classes and created a community cookbook.

July 1, 2012: The Hagerstown Museum and Arts Place

They are utilizing professionals to do the iniital smoke and water removal, and a professional engineering assestment. They note that they appreciate all offers from volunteers and will have a sign-up sheet at the upcoming Hagerstown Fly-In, once they have had time to evaluate their needs. WayNet encourages you to offer your support to our newest not-for-profit member!

June 11, 2012: The Olde North Chapel

Old North ChapelWelcome to new WayNet member, The Olde North Chapel. This business is located in a circa 1868 church in the beautiful, historic Starr District. It was once the home church of local benefactor, Daniel Reid. The Reid family attended church here prior to the completion of Reid Presbyterian Church. The Olde North Chapel serves as a non-demoninational wedding chapel and may also be rented for meetings and other special events. June 7, 2012: Birth to Five

Logo: Birth to FiveBirth to Five, a service organization dedicated to maximizing the social-emotional, intellectual, language, and physical development of young children in Wayne County, has moved to a new location on the campus of the Richmond State Hospital. The conference will feature nationally known preservationist Donavan Rypkema. Additional guest speakers will present positive solutions to shrinking cities.
