December 17, 2007 Richmond Area Railroaders have set up a second Christmas Train Fantasyland on the 3rd floor of the Richmond Furniture Gallery at  180 Fort Wayne Avenue in Richmond, Indiana.  The original is also operating at Charlie's Coffee Bar and Gallery at 416 North 10th Street.  The exhibit at Charlie's is open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day except Monday and Christmas until New Year's. In September of 2007, the Starr-Gennett Foundation began to recognize the many great artists of the early 20th century whose music, recorded in the Whitewater Valley Gorge at the Starr-Gennett facilities, set the standard for jazz, roots music and other genres. These artists have been memorialized via a medallion in the sidewalk in front of the location where the Starr-Gennett buildings once stood.  We encourage you to visit the Starr-Gennett Walk of Fame and feel the music history that took place in this location.

Richardson Schools, invited her students to reflect upon the words of Martin Luther King and his "I Have a Dream" speech.  This powerful, creative response was extended around the world when Ms. Wilds received a Lilly Teacher Creativity Grant to share this vision with the children in Pokhara, Nepal.  The beautiful banners created by the children of Richmond and Pokhara are currently on display in the Richmond City Building. All the windows in the Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, located at 11th and North "A" Streets in Richmond were created by Louis Comfort Tiffany.  Reid is one of ten churches in the country which have all Tiffany windows.  The building cost $295,000 at the time of it's construction (1904-1906 -which would approximate to about $7 million today!)
