Salisbury Courthouse

This log cabin was Wayne County's original courthouse. It was moved to this location along the National Road in Centerville and restored in 1998. Two other buildings have served as Wayne County, Indiana's courthouses.

The first county seat in Wayne County was located in Salisbury, a town that no longer exists. The county seat was moved to Centerville in 1818 and finally to Richmond in 1873.
