Hoagy Carmichael is slowly appearing on the south side of the building that houses Readmore and the Empire Title Company (formerly Crye Jewelers) just south of the intersection of Main and 9th Street in Richmond, Indiana.  The mural, which is being painted by artist Pam Bliss, is a project initiated by Jim Hair of Richmond Art Works. 

Hoagy Carmichael made the first ever recording of the song Stardust in Richmond, Indiana at the Gennett Recording Studios in 1927.
