Palladium-Item - Richmond's Newspaper since 1831 The Palladium-Item was founded as the Richmond Palladium in 1831 by Nelson Boon. Boon's grandfather, Squire Boone, was a brother of Daniel Boone, the famous Kentucky frontiersman. It is now owned by the Gannett Co, Inc. The Palladium-Item is currently the oldest business in Wayne County. This plant publishes both the Palladium-Item and the USA Today. |
