Board Meeting Minutes - May 19, 2022

Present:

  • Lynn Knight, Secretary (Community Member)

  • Bridget Hazelbaker (Richmond Community Schools)

  • Jane Holman (Executive Director, WayNet.org, Ex-Officio)

Absent:

  • Tim Love (Reid Health)
  • Karen Seal (Friends Fellowship Community)

Call to Order:

President Jenie Lahmann called the meeting to order at 12:03 p.m.

Old Business

  • Reviewed Minutes from the Thursday, March 17, 2022 meeting:
  • Call for motion to approve by: Dakota Collins
  • Seconded by: Bridget Hazelbaker and approved by the Board.

New Business:

Search Committee Task Force Report:

Dakota reported, that over the next two weeks members of the Committee were meeting with other organization leadership ( EDC and Forward Wayne County and the mayor) learning how Waynet fits in, can we partner our services with theirs and if there are any over lapping of services. Next meeting in July. The goal is to have a plan in place by Waynet's annual meeting.

Jane shared that she has spreadsheet of all the top pages for Waynet that she can share.

Balance Sheet Review

March and April

Income: March/$1,339.31 and April/$1,364.66
Expenses: March/$1339.31 and April/$1364.66
Ending Balance as of April, 2022: $14,892.69
Call for motion to approve by: Bridget Hazelbaker
Seconded by: Gillia King and approved by Board.

Cash Flow:

Accepted as read

Director's Report:

  • Membership - Same
  • Social media - No major changes
  • Our usage keeps dropping as we are not mobile-friendly
  • Continuing to Work on the privacy policy. Jenie shared that it does not need to be completed until 2023.
  • Filed state and federal tax forms online.
  • Took 2 days vacation since last meeting.
  • Been out taking photo's again.

Board suggested to reimburse the Director/Jane for mileage when taking photo's for Waynet. She will track her monthly mileage and be reimbursed at the state government mileage reimbursement rate.

With no further business to discuss, meeting was adjourned at 12:20 pm

Jane will contact the whole board to share that the next meeting is not until August and encourage them to attend.
