Old Business

We reviewed the minutes of the January Board Meeting. The minutes were unanimously approved.

New Business

Balance Sheet Review

We reviewed the balance sheet and our current financial status. We received the two $2,500 checks from the City of Richmond giving us the needed cash influx for Jane Holman to resume her position. We should be okay for the year 2019 if we receive the anticipated income for memberships.

Directors Report:

Jane Holman did maintain the calendar and several miscellaneous items even though She was on hiatus. She made sure the three Wayne Co. Connection programs were recorded as planned.

WayNet will be honored at the Chamber 535 event at the offices of Better Homes & Gardens for 20 years as members. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome.

Moving Forward:

Jane Holman asked for a user policy for our calendar going forward. The Board agreed, "The Executive Director and any Board member that the Board designates will have the authority to execute any changes needed to the calendar."

Next Meeting:

Our next meeting will be Thursday, March 21, at noon at the Morrisson-Reeves Library (updated: now at the Richmond City Building Community Room).

Dakota Collins lead us through a list of priorities as we make plans for 2019 as follows:

New members and/or increased membership levels for existing members
Redefine benefits for each level of membership
      Site redevelopment (including rebranding)
Strengthen our Board of Directors – Richard Peterson will work on a matrix detailing the background of our current Board.

Dakota Collins discussed current members that could possibly up their membership levels giving us additional income that is needed to sustain WayNet. Kate Barber, City of Richmond employee, joined us today and gave great insight and an overview of her perception of our website, rebranding, social media, etc. Kate will join us for our February meeting with our intention of having her join our organization.

We discussed what the "next step" is with different thoughts on the subject of preparing an RFP, working on a package to tell future members what the NEW WayNet will look like, membership benefits, etc. The possibility of a Google site, Google My Business, and brainstorming with others to see what people want from WayNet. Jane will research the Google options.

All assigned committees should meet before our March 21st Board Meeting to accomplish some of the goals agreed to at our Retreat.

Next Meeting:

Our next meeting will be Thursday, March 21, at noon at the Morrisson-Reeves Library.

Adjournment:

There being no further business Tim Love asked for a motion to adjourn. Richard Petersen seconded with everyone approving. The meeting was adjourned at 1:05 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Pam Merchanthouse
