Board Meeting Minutes - January 18, 2018

Present:

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order by President Aubrey Blue at approximately 12:04 PM in room 106 of the Landrum Bolling Center at Earlham College. Lynn Knight welcomed the Board to Earlham.

Old Business

Approval of Minutes

Time Love motioned for the approval of the November 16, 2017 meeting minutes which was seconded by Pam Merchanthouse and passed unanimously.

New Business

Balance Sheet Review

The Balance Sheet was reviewed. Jane Holman reported that the 2017 end-of- year balance was $6,075.38. Richard Peterson motioned to approve the balance sheet as presented with a second by Beth Fields. The motioned passed unanimously.

Director's Report

Jane Holman reviewed the Director's Report. Highlights of the report included that Sunrise, Inc., a therapeutic riding center, had joined a new member; new segments of Wayne County Connections had been taped with Sunrise, Inc. and Friends Fellowship Community; and Ivy Tech was considering not renewing their membership but Jane had a meeting with Ivy Tech staff members and she was hopeful that they would retain their membership.

Chamber of Commerce Membership

Jane Holman shared that she had received an invoice from the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce to renew Waynet's membership. This invoice was for approximately $160 in comparison to approximately $129 for 2017. Jane also shared that the Board had only budgeted for the approximate $129 expense for 2018. After much discussion, Pam Merchanthouse made a motion to pay the invoice in full which was seconded by Tim Love and passed unanimously.

Adjournment:

There being no further business, Aubrey Blue motioned to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Beth Fields and unanimously approved.
