Meeting Minutes - Thursday, August 18, 2011

Call to Order:

President Rob Tidrow called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. in the Richmond Power and Light Board Room.
The meeting minutes were approved for the June 16, 2011 board meeting. Randy Baker so moved. Dudley Fetzer seconded. The motion was unanimously approved.

New Business:

The balance sheet was shared and discussed. Jane shared a membership overview. A battery back-up for Jane’s computer was purchased for $59.99. Vonage has proved to be a cost saver for the phone service.  Jodi Johnson moved to approve the Balance Sheet as written. Tim Love seconded. The motion was unanimously approved.

Jane reviewed the call for officers for the Waynet Board. Several board members’ terms are expiring. She will contact board members to see who would be willing to serve another term. She will be contacting the Exec. Committee to oversee nominations.

Director’s Report (click to read the report)

Jane reported that 4 photos were sold from the Waynet Library of images. She appeared on the “Third Sector” local TV show in July. Jane has seen a 10% increase in Facebook users. Jane went over information regarding the process of converting website pages from the old format to the new website format and went over her “to do” list. Much positive feedback has been received on the new website design. Tim Love commented that the new website “I enjoy the fresh look!”

Jane shared the survey results from the survey regarding the new website with many positive responses. One problem was addressed with a user regarding a linkage issue.

Marketing for new website

Jane discussed options for publicizing the new website. She suggested these ideas: prepare a PSA, Rack Card and a article in Pal-Item.

Being no further business Rob Tidrow asked for a motion to adjourn. Jodi Johnson so moved.  Randy Baker seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 1:00 pm
