Minutes of November meeting approved John Weber - Motioned Debbie Berry - Seconded Financial Report was given by Jane Holman for copy of Financial report see web page under About Waynet, there is a link called Budget Report. The Membership Committee came up with new membership rates and what the benefits will be for each of the different membership types. Basic $ 60 / Year Expanded $300 / Year Sponsoring $500 / Year Jane gave a report on discussion held by Membership Committee. A brochure was distributed for approval. Items to be included: •Under why I should become a Waynet member – Advertising •Include a business directory link line Motion to approve 3 membership levels and benefits Motion by John Weber. Seconded by Andy Grannel Motion passed Discussion was held on membership voting rights and board structure. The question: How do we decide the makeup of the Board of Directors? Do we want a certain makeup? - Sponsoring members - Private sector - Expanded members - Public sector - Basic members - Government sector In September of 1998, at our annual meeting we will need to elect our official board. The present group are incorporators. Meeting Room/Format We will meet in the auditorium at RP&L and will have it
setup with a group of tables in the center of the room with chairs surrounding the tables
for board members to sit at with additional chairs around the outside of the table for any
guests to sit. Brochure Bulk mailing was discussed. It was decided against getting a bulk mail permit. Identification of most likely target market. Discussed who can be members, ongoing discussion: Do we limit it to only Wayne County businesses and residents? Director’s Report – Jane gave a report on additions and changed she has made to the Waynet site which included the following: Added topical links Rearranged community page Added arts and culture Reworked search engine page Government page Offer from Hagerstown Newsgroups and chat rooms to be offered by Hagerstown. It was decided to wait until Hagerstown library gets back in touch with us. Discussed waiving fees for: Richard E. (Dick) Crandall. •Committee decided not to wave fee. Hagerstown Library •waiting for application from library to review. Wayne County Teachers Credit Union •waiting for application from Credit Union to review.
