  • Wayne County Connections TV Show (Viewers directed back to website /Page)

    • Taped show with J.P. Hall, Eastern Regional Director of Indiana Landmarks (also took stills & B footage video that appears on the show)
    • The WC Connections page received 130 visits in May, and 91 in June.
  • Haven't noticed a large increase in visitor numbers after distributing the running postcard, but did see some increase in Facebook/Twitter followers.
  • Twitter - we now have 796 followers.  Have sent 1,698 tweets.
  • Facebook - 526 people "like" our Facebook page (5% increase), 69.3% are female, 29.1% male. 40% are from Richmond, 71% are from Wayne County.

  • Watched over transfer of web host to new location/site down for one day on July 5/6.

These figures were created by the AWStats program offered online by our web host.  We also track usage with Google Analytics.

Monthly figures are posted on the Top Twenty page.  Current average is 46,468 user sessions per month. Web page views are averaging 234,831. While our numbers appear to have dipped slightly, the majority of the decline is due to a change in Google's algorithms which no longer calls up our turtle page. While the overall numbers have declined, our core local pages have remained strong and we have seen an uptake in new hits to additional pages, thanks to our redesign.

2nd Quarter 2013 - Quarterly figures for user sessions increased by 4% from 1st Quarter and were up 5% over the same time period last year, the first time we've seen an increase in this figure since 2010. Page views increased by 2% in the 2nd quarter, with a 14% decrease over the same time period in 2012. This is a more volatile figure and often sees peaks and dips.

2012 Yearly Figures show a decrease to 557,619 users but an increase to 2,817,973 page views as compared to 604,177 users requesting 2,703,864 pages in 2011.  This is a 8% decrease in users and a 4% increase in page views over 2011, again reflecting the change in usae of our turtle page.

Did You Know?

The highest point in Indiana is located in Wayne County, northwest of Bethel. At 1,257 feet, it is known as “Hoosier Hill”, but that title is a bit ironic.
