Advertising/Marketing/Community Relations

Ongoing: Sidebar ad on the Palladium-Item web site. $175/month for 12 months. (Goal of changing ad at least once a month.)
Ongoing: Business card size ad in the Centerville News newsletter for 12 months (cost $25 membership + $100/12 ads)

Issues & Projects for May/June/July

Completed work on "How To" Center. It now needs contributions to help populate it.
Sold 5 additional photos to the EDC.
Create brochure featuring our new "How To" Center
July invoices created & mailed - almost 1/4 of our yearly budget.
Enjoyed two weeks of vacation.
Website Maintenance:
- "Eastern Box Turtle" page continues to rise to the top of Google's image search for "Turtle".
- Moved our Levi Coffin pages to a new directory (/levicoffin) for ease in promotion & access for Google Analytics.
- Configure Google Analytics so that it sends automatic reports/tracks specific pages.
- Review and update page links & calendar events, as necessary. Take photos.

These figures were created by the AWStats program offered online by our web host.

Monthly figures are now being posted on the Top Twenty page. Current average is 55,386 user sessions per month. Web page views (hits) are averaging 151,464. Users sessions decreased 17% from May to June. Page views decreased by 23% from May to June. The decrease was expected - change due to reduced hits to Levi Coffin House page once school is out and less Internet usage because of the nice weather.

2nd Quarter 2007 - Quarterly figures for user sessions increased by 12% over 1st Quarter after the 6% increase from the 4th Quarter of 2006. Page views decreased by 4% in the second quarter and after an increase of 17% over the 4th Quarter of 2006.

2006 Yearly Figures show a 42% increase to 657,784 users requesting 1,693,456 pages as compared to 463,839 users requesting 1,419,408 pages in 2005. This is a 42% increase in users and a 19% increase in page views over 2005.
