MOONLIGHT PARADE SET FOR AUGUST 27TH
Richmond Celebrates is the theme for Richmond's Bicentennial and the kickoff will be a Moonlight Parade on August 27th 2005. It will be held along National Road West. The Parade will start at 8:00 pm, with floats,
bands, Shiners, Bicentennial Royalty, and many other attractions.

The Moonlight Parade will kick off a year of exciting activities which will conclude with a 10 day festival in August 2006, when Richmond will be 200 years old!

TOOLS FOR SCHOOLS
Back to school time is upon us. Tools for Schools is a community effort to collect school supplies for distribution in Richmond elementary schools to those students who may need some help with affording
basic school supplies. The drive is being conducted in coordination with Wayne County Vision.

Donations of the following items are requested:

Crayons – 24 count box
Pencils - #2 with erasers
School Scissors – large and small
Glue – 4 oz. liquid school glue or glue sticks
Rulers – 12 inch marked with centimeters and inches
Notebook paper – wide ruled, either loose leaf or spiral bound
Computer discs with Windows/PC based formatting

Donations may be dropped off at the following locations between August 1 and August 15th.
