ASSOCIATION - ONLINE!
Many local youth are having fun participating in soccer leagues. The Wayne
County Soccer Association's web site helps you find contacts and phone numbers
along with all the necessary forms. Hurry - the spring traveling soccer league's
registration form is due by December 5th!

AN UPTOWN CHRISTMAS STORY PARADE
Santa's arrival in Richmond will be heralded by both the Richmond Red Devil
Marching Band and the Lincoln High School Marching Eagles along with floats,
local dignitaries, churches, and not-for-profit
groups. Plan to join the fun on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6 at 11:00 a.m. The parade
begins at the intersection of East Main Street and 14th Street and ends at the
City Building.
Collection bins will be
placed along the route to collect new toys for the TOYS FOR TOTS program.

CHRISTMAS FANTASYLAND
Youngsters...and the young at heart will enjoy the Richmond Railroad Club's
Christmas Train Fantasyland on display at Charlie's Coffee Bar Tuesday thru
Sunday from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m.
CONTRA DANCE
New dancers are welcome at the Contra Dance at Charlie's Coffee Bar & Gallery at
8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5th.
FROSTBITE 5K
Runners from around the area will challenge themselves at the Frostbite 5K race
at Glen Miller Park. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6th,
with the race beginning at 5:00 p.m.
CELEBRATION OF LIGHTS
Less athletic individuals can enjoy the 4,000 luminarias set out in Glen Miller
Park during the Celebration of Lights on Saturday evening. Beginning at 6:00
p.m. there will also be horse-drawn wagon rides around the lake, Christmas
carols sung by area choirs, and a surprise visit from a white bearded man in a
red suit! Open until 10:00 p.m.
UNTOUCHABLE TIMES
Travel back in time to the Roaring Twenties on December 6, to attend
"Untouchable Times," the second annual Starr-Gennett Foundation Holiday Benefit.
This year's benefit will feature the renowned Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra.
VICTORIAN TOUR OF HOMES
This is your once a year chance when 16 beautiful homes, businesses and churches
in the historic Starr District of Richmond open their doors
to the public to show off their holiday finery. Tickets are $8.00/person and are
available at Foster's E. Street Gallery, 825 N. E St., Richmond or at each home.
Enter the Starr District at North 13th Street.
GAAR MANSION TOURS
An outstanding example of Victorian architecture, the Gaar Mansion is decorated
for the holidays and ready for tours. Tours will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
on Sunday, December 7, 14, and 21. Tour tickets are purchased at the mansion and
are only $5 for adults, $2 for ages 18 and younger.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC
ORCHESTRA CONCERT
Enjoy a free concert when the Earlham Orchestra and Ensembles perform in Goddard
Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5th.
WOMEN'S CHORUS CONCERT
The Earlham Women's Chorus will offer a Tour Preview concert of their upcoming
East Coast Tour on Saturday, Dec. 6th at 7:30 p.m. in Goddard Auditorium.
GOSPEL REVS CONCERT
The Gospel Revs will present a free multicultural Christmas concert at Goddard
Auditorium on the Earlham campus at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7th.
RSO POPS CONCERT
Richmond Symphony Orchestra's annual pops concert on Sunday, December 7th at
4:00 p.m. will feature jazz trumpeter Marvin Stamm playing "An Ellington
Fantasy" and many other Big Band classics, including a medley of Hoagy
Carmichael's greatest hits.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OPEN
HOUSE
It's been a long time coming...but the new building for the Boys and Girls Clubs
of Wayne County is now a reality. They will be holding an open house from 2:00
p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th. The new building is located at 1717
S. L St., Richmond, IN.
