DONATE-A-PHONE PROGRAM
Last week the "Dear Abby" column featured the "Donate-a-Phone" program that helps domestic violence victims. Wireless phones that are no longer being used are collected, re-furbished, and reprogrammed so that domestic violence victims can access local emergency services and hot-line numbers.

If you have an old cell phone that is just sitting in a drawer, you can drop it off at the Radio Shack in Richmond Square Mall or at the YWCA at 1900 South L. Street in Richmond. Many of these phones come back to the local community through the Genesis program which serves Wayne, Fayette, Franklin, Rush, and Union counties.
