The Shakespeare in the Park Festival, a community project between Indiana
University East and the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department will take place
Saturday June 15th and 16th at 6:30 at Glen Miller Park in the northeast corner

Welcome to First Friends Meeting and the First Friends Child Care Center.
This Quaker church was established in 1809 in a log cabin in Richmond. They
moved into their new facility on Chester Boulevard in 1998, where they have also
established the First Friends Child Care Center.

WAYNET SEMINAR
Mark your calendar now to attend next week's monthly WayNet seminar - open to
WayNet members only. On Wednesday, July 19th at 12:00 noon we will be
discussing: "Promoting your Organization with WayNet - Learn how to use
available tools to receive increased local exposure!" This seminar is held

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Reid Hospital has the following opportunities available for special people
willing to volunteer their time and skills for serving their community.
. . . CHAPLAIN AIDE . . . Volunteers needed to assist Clergy in arranging visits with newly admitted patients. Will train basic skills needed for writing room numbers of new patients on information cards then filing
. . .GIFT SHOP...Volunteers provide shopping service to patients, visitors, staff, and volunteers. Cash register experience helpful, but not required. Weekend openings Saturday or Sunday 12:30 - 4 pm./4:00 - 7:30 p.m.
. . . OUTPATIENT CHILDREN'S THERAPY HOSTESS.. Greets patient/family and informs therapist when patient arrives. Will communicate with staff to provide comfort and information as needed. Must have a sincere interest in children. Weekdays, various shifts.
. . . RADIOLOGY. Volunteers escort outpatients from the Radiology Department waiting room to various waiting areas within the department. Openings: Weds. afternoon.
. . . INFORMATION DESK. Openings Friday morning and evening shifts, Saturday 12:30 p.m.- 4 p.m., and 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., also Sunday 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Volunteer will assist staff at Information Desk to establish better public relations with family and friends visiting patients.
. . . MEDICAL RECORDS. Openings for volunteers to file records, clerical and computer functions. Scheduling is flexible, hours of 8am-3pm, M-F.
. . UNIT VOLUNTEER SERVICE. Volunteers assist on nursing units with feeding patients, passing trays, filling water pitchers, running errands, and dismissals; hours and days flexible.
. . . ICCU WAITING ROOM. . Volunteers needed to assist visitors and family with any questions and concerns. Volunteers will help in communication between staff and family. Minimal clerical duties. Customer service oriented person desired for this position.
