WAYNE COUNTY FAIR TIME!
The Wayne County 4-H Fair opens Friday, July 7th. Don't miss the fun and
excitement out at the fairgrounds on Salisbury Road. Daily events have been
posted on WayNet's Community Calendar - just remember to click on the day's date
to receive a full listing of events for that day. There are still a few tickets
available for the John Michael Montgomery concert on Sunday - you may purchase
them at the Fairground Office (small white building next to the track &
horse arena). Call (765) 939-0834 for more information on the concert.

JOIN THE FAIR FUN!
Do you fancy yourself really good at your hobby? Want to know how you stack
up within the community? The public may compete in the Open Project
Category at the Wayne County Fair. Home and Family Arts projects will be
accepted from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Friday, July 7th, with judging
beginning at 10:00 a.m. This includes, needle arts, painting, drawing,
photography, ceramics. Food and Flowers will be accepted from 10:30 to
12:00 noon on Monday, July 10th with judging beginning at 12:30 p.m. There
is a $.50/item entrance fee for non-home extension club members. For more

OUTDOOR MOVIE
OK - so there aren't any drive-in movie theatres in Wayne County any more.
You can still enjoy a movie outside....for FREE....this weekend, thanks to
the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department. Their Family Outdoor Movie
Series is held at the Middlefork Reservoir. Please bring Lawn chairs and
blankets for sitting under the stars! Movies will begin at dusk and are
FREE! Concessions will be available. This week's movie....THE MUMMY!
PET WALK & BARK IN THE
PARK
Join HELP the Animals for their 8th annual Pet Walk and Bark in the Park on
Saturday, July 8th in Glen Miller Park from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Walk with
friends or walk by yourself. It's not necessary to bring an animal to
participate. Please leave aggressive animals at home and please have all dogs on
leashes and cats in carriers. Collect pledges from your friends,
relatives and co-workers to benefit the dogs and cats at the HELP Shelter.
No donation too large or too small. There will be a live radio remote by the New
G 101.3 FM, booths with information about pet care, nutrition, and first aid,
vaccination clinic and nail clipping...for a small donation, City dog tag sale,
Frisbee and agility games, food and entertainment!
