VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Levi Coffin House has put out the call for volunteers. Volunteers are needed
to interpret the history of Levi and Catharine Coffin and their involvement with
the Underground Railroad.
Volunteers give tours of the Levi Coffin House, including the eight rooms of the house and the barn. The interpretation covers the Coffin's involvement in the Underground Railroad, their Quaker beliefs and the house which has been restored to the time period.
The main requirement is a
willingness to learn the history of the site; a friendly manner and the ability
to relate to people of all ages. For more information, call Saundra Jackson at
(765) 847-2432 or email her at coffinhs@infocom.com.
