Photo: Starr Piano in the Gennett MansionThe Starr Piano Company was established in Richmond, Indiana in 1872. The pianos were manufactured under the labels of Cumberland, Duchess, Gennett, Krell, Minum, Tayser, Royal, Pullman, Remington, Richmond, Coronado, Schmoller & Mueller and Starr.

To determine the year your Star Piano Company piano was built, visit your local library to obtain a copy of the Pierce Piano Atlas, Anniversary Edition (2017) (Hard Cover) . In the 10th edition, published in 1997, this information was located on page 326.
