June 20, 2011 When Centerville was platted in 1814, the original streets were 100 feet wide.  With the increased activity in town when it became the county seat in 1818, the width was decreased to 65 feet. Buildings with common walls were erected in front of original buildings. These original buildings could then be reached through the archways. June 4, 2011

Thousands of motorcyclists gathered in Richmond, Indiana on a rainy Saturday, 4-9-11, to escort I-beams from the fallen World Trade Center towers to Indianapolis where they will be used to create a memorial.

In memory of the forty-one persons who lost their lives in the tragic downtown explosion April 6, 1968 and with everlasting gratitude to those who helped give rebirth to the city. This memorial is located at the corner of Main and 5th in Richmond, Indiana, approximately one block west of the epicenter of the disaster.

April 4, 2011 This beautifully crafted artwork hangs behind the Librarian's desk in the Children's Department at Morrisson-Reeves Library in Richmond, Indiana.  It was created by the Indianapolis Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America - June 1981.   The stitching notes "In Loving Memory of Sue Marsh Weller - given by her family." March 21, 2011 The six Overbeck Sisters who lived and worked in Cambridge City, Indiana produced a wide variety of art objects between 1911 and 1955.  While well-known for their pottery, they also produced figurines, paintings, drawings, photography and woodcarvings.  The Cambridge City Library has an outstanding collection of Overbeck art. March 14, 2011 This building, once known as the Kelly, Emmons and Reid Block, was originally a five-unit limestone town house.  It was designed by John A. Hasecoster. The new library, a beautiful renovation of a former car dealership, is located at 600 West Main Street in Cambridge City, Indiana.
