Richmond Fall Festival
September 11-13, 2009

What: The 2009 Richmond Fall Festival combines several festivals into a single weekend of events. All activities are free unless noted.

When: Sept. 11-13, 2009

Where: Richmond's Downtown, Whitewater River Gorge Park/Starr-Gennett Pavilion, Historic Depot District and Wayne County Historical Museum.

Parking: Free Parking at the Richmond Downtown Parking Garage : entrances on South 7th and South 8th Streets

Shuttles: Saturday, Sept. 12, 10 am to 4 pm
     Free Shuttles from Parking Garage linking Downtown with Historical Museum, Depot District and Gorge Shuttle
     Saturday, Sept. 12, 10 am to 6 pm
     Free Shuttle from Earlham College to Gorge


Fall Festival Highlights

Fri., Sept. 11
     3:00 PM      Gennett Mansion tour (fee charged)
     4:00 PM      Young Authors Conference for students RCS : Holly George Warren opening speaker
     4:30 PM      Walk of Fame VIP reception for Donors at the Leland Residence, featuring the Earlham Jazz Band
     5:30 PM      Holly George Warren Gene Autry biographer speaking at the Leland Residence
     6:00 PM      Don Edwards concert (tickets $10 each) at the Leland Residence
     7:00 PM      Karaoke in the Logo Building in the Gorge
     8:45 PM      Free showing of Gene Autry's film "South of the Border" at the Logo Building in the Gorge

10 AM to 4 PM

     Art and Music Festival Downtown Richmond on Main Street
          Bookseller's Row, Food Booths, Artists and Crafts, Civic and Educational Booths, Free pony rides for kids and Historic Richmond coloring books (quantities limited)
The Magaws of Boston and Whitewater Valley Artist’s Association, Music by Carol Lou Woodward, Frank Divito, Lowell Conley, Glenn Cole, Brian Wallen, Solid Brass, Tom’s NY Deli Jazz All-Stars
     4 PM to 9 PM
     Free Rock Concert at 10th and Main Street Parking Lot,  featuring Soul Marrow Transplant, The Next Level, Bella Stone and Spires of Altum
     10 AM to 5 PM
     Heritage Festival at the Wayne County Historical Museum (admission Adults $5, 6 - 18 $2) Food, Old Time Crafts, Civic Theater Tent Show, Carriage Rides, Blacksmithing Egyptian Mummy with "CSI" recreated face, original electric and historic Richmond autos
     10 AM to 6 PM Historic Depot District music and food along Fort Wayne Avenue
     10:00 AM Gennett Mansion tour (fee charged)
     11:00 AM Kidsfest parade from SW 13th Street to S. 2nd Street : Old West theme.
     Noon to 4 pm Old West activities and Starr-Gennett education in the gorge, Annie Oakley, line dance demonstration, duck regatta
     1:00 PM Native American Intertribal Gathering in the gorge
     2:00 PM Gennett Mansion tour with talk about Gene Autry (fee charged)
     4:00 PM Walk of Fame induction ceremony, honoring inductees and Gene Autry
     6:30 to 9 PM Concert in the gorge featuring Roni, Patsy and Donna Stoneman, and headliner Don Edwards (Tickets $10 each adult or $20 for two adults and two children)
     9:00 PM Free Showing of Gene Autry's film "Mule Train" at the Logo Building in the Gorge

     6:00 PM Cope Environmental Center Fall Gala
     black tie optional event outdoors at CEC to benefit educational programs ($150 per couple, $85 per person)

10 AM to 4 PM
