Who Can
Participate?
We encourage any junior high or high school student interested in agriculture to participate in FFA.
The organization is open to all students, grade 7 through age 21, and
is not limited to traditional farming occupation interests. Students in the
Hagerstown Junior-Senior High School interested in agriculture may participate by
contacting Mr. Sturgeon and he will
inform the student of upcoming activities.
What Does
the Hagerstown FFA Chapter Do?
The Hagerstown FFA Chapter is involved in many activities throughout the year.
- November Fruit Sale
- Attend the National Convention (originally in Kansas City, Missouri,
then in Louisville,
Kentucky and now in Indianapolis, Indiana.)
- Attend the State Convention at Purdue University
- Hold
an
area food drive

Hold a livestock
invitational at the Wayne County Fairgrounds
- Currently we are raising Tilapia fish in a 750 gallon tank
- Annual FFA Banquet
- Sponsor speakers on agricultural topics
- Hold a Soils
Judging Invitational

Partners with the
Lincoln and Northeastern FFA chapters to create an exhibit for the
Wayne County 4-H Fair.
